I always tell people, "it's who you know when job searching". Well, it came true for me. In a nutshell, a couple that I used to babysit for 20+ years ago, have their own business & have grown it to 50 people and now need an HR person. They know all about me b/c my sister cuts/styles their hair. So guess who had a phone interview last night, a face to face interview & job offer by noon today? Yep - ME!
The pay is the same, but there's a year end bonus, and we'll save about $300 in insurance costs each month, and I get 26 PTO days per year!!! That's a lot of time off
