I told my kids tonight that Grandma and Papa are going to come for my birthday in a few weeks. They asked me how old I was going to be and I said 29. Then my 4 year old said " That means next year you will be 30!" and my 6 year old chimed in "You'll be like an old grandma!"

That reminds me of the story that my MIL tells every now and then: my daughter and nieces were doing a fashion show one night at her house and my daughter asked where old people shop. My niece chimed in before my MIL could answer and said in the antique store.

kids hmmmm hmmmm say the funniestest things, at 32 i can tell you, you won't be no where near grandma, I had ds really young and his grilfriend's parents are in thier 50's, he made the comment that he was glad his parents where young and not as old as allie's, he said this in frount of the allies parents which was not at all funny

Funny,yet not so funny! Gosh, I remember im my younger days how I though the age I'm at now was OLD. Now that i"m there, I'm thinking, nah, I"m not old, at least in my head! Could use a grease job though,LOL.

I remember 54 years ago when my mother turned 30. I was really afraid because she was so old and was going to die.
