Guess what!!!!!!
I finally finalized all my CROSS COUNTRY road trip plans this past weekend....and I am officially PSYCHED!!!! Lot's of exciting events coming up...
April 30th - Last day of class
May 11th - Graduation (finally...it's been 6 years...there IS light at the end of the tunnel)
May 14th - Hittin the road for a 3 week long cross country road trip!!
End of July/Early August - ISH - Making the move...to WHEREVER me and my bf get jobs (he is a school counselor, graduating in May too)
Anyway.....what a better way to celebrate than to take off aimlessly (not really...it is pretty planned out) for a road trip!! It is mostly southern US....we are going to Moab Utah for an off-roading event...(he is a nissan/off-roading enthusiast)....then to the northern rim of the grand canyon....then to California to visit my family in Simi Valley....then Alabama (birmingham) to visit my cousin Anita....then North Caroline to check out Raleigh (which is where we are hoping to find jobs)!! So those are the "main" stops....obviusly there will me a ton more! The way we figured it out, it comes out to 21 days....I will be blogging the ENTIRE way, and posting pics every day (my mom would freak if she didnt know the most details possible), and I am hoping to track myself with my GPS...and have it connected to a map on my blog!! How technological, I KNOW!!! So I just wanted to let you ladies know, it is coming up soon eough!
I hope to hear from you all during my travels....and hopefully I can maybe meet up with a few of you along the way if we are passing nearby!! Should be a blast! Anyone ever do anything like this?? Anyone know any good music I should bring for the ride?? I have already begun putting together some playlists/ burning cd's!!!

That sounds like so much fun! Is there room for another one?
My dh has been to Moab off roading in his Jeep and says it's lots of fun!

That is awesome! I am psyched FOR you! I can seriously feel you excitement! My hubby and I did something very similar right after he graduated (driving from Michigan to L.A., spent a month there, and then back via a more southern route), and have so many fond memories. I am really excited for you!
That sounds like such fun! I have a daughter who lives in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and loves it. I think job opportunities there are pretty good, too. She's a genetic counselor at UNC Hospital. Good luck and be safe!

If you make it to the Grand Canyon area, you MUST find a way to get to Sedona, Arizona. Oak Canyon Road is one of the top 10 scenic drives in the USA. (Goes from Sedona to Flagstaff) Sedona is red rock area and absolutely amazing. (You should take the Broken Arrow Pink Jeep tour also if you have time...talk about off roading, whew) I would move there in a heartbeat...Have fun on your trip.
that sounds so wonderful! I am so envious... kinda! I can't sit still very long You can stop by here in South Jersey anytime What awesome scrapbooking opportunities!!!

I'm not saying forget what you lost
I suppose there's a purpose in pain
What we make of ourselves has a cost
And it's paid every time we take hold of the reins

That sounds like so much fun!!! And all the great things you will see along the way... Wow! I'm jealous!
I don't know about playlist/music, but you might want to take a book on CD (or two!). They are great for the more non-scenic parts of the trip...
