 I am so VERY EXCITED to say that we are going to WALT DISNEYWORLD in June!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wasn't as hard as i thought it would be to sell the idea on the hubby and when he said yes i jumped on the phone and made the reservations. has anyone ever dined at cinderellas castle? can't book that for a couple more days, but to say the least we are all VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (now to gear up for the 23 hour drive)


i found a great deal on plane tickets. going to fly. a 3 hour plane ride sounds a lot better than 23 hours in the van!!

 That's wonderful, we are going back in Nov.  I have never ate at the castle, it is too darn expensive but we did eat the the liberty bell tavern and the food was excellent.   One advice on the trip down, make sure you have a portable dvd player.  We drove down twice but I think the ride was only about 15 hours.

That's cool!  We love Disney World.   I agree about the portable dvd player.  We drove to Tennessee once, and it was a big help.

We dined at Cinderella's Castle.  We ate there on our first anniversary, and then last year we took the kids on our tenth anniversary.  You take a picture with Cinderella, and during your dinner, the Fairy Godmother and a couple of the mice visit and sing.  The kids loved it.  Bella got a wand, and they gave Connor a toy sword.

 BF and I went for the first time in November and had a blast!  (Despite the unseasonably high humidity...)  We didn't dine at Cinderella's Castle, but all of our "table service" meals were excellent! 

You will have so much fun!  And even though we were just there, I'm a little envious you get to go...  but the Disney Resorts (either one!) are my favorite vacation spots. 

 You'll have a great time.  I've never been to Cinderella's Castle, but my grandkids have and enjoyed it.

 You are going to love love it--  we are going to be over there the folllowing week I believe for CHA summer---cant wait. making my reservations next week sometime.

 Hooray!!!!! How exciting!!!! I love DisneyWorld. I wish my dh was that easy of a sell. Disney is letting military members in for FREE this year for 5 days and I still can't talk him into it!

Can't wait to see pictures and lots and lots of LOs!

 I went when i was a senior in high school, but my husband has never been there. And we bought a new van last spring that had a DVD player in it!!! That thing has come in handy with all the kids.

Yes, I agree. A portable DVD player was a lifesaver on our drives from Missouri to CT and back (26 hours each way).

Really if you have ANY Questions about Disney, I either know them or can find out!!! As of the Castle dining, I have not had the honor of doing that yet.. saving it for an anniversary! But I have heard from my old managers that worked there.. go at night during the Wishes Firework Display! They say it is Amazing to see the fireworkds from inside! I don't know for sure.. but that's all I've ever heard.. guess it really brings out more of the magic then!!

My biggest hint to you, is to now go from attraction to attractiont that you want to see first! Go in a circle. Each Park except for Hollywood Studios.. allows you do that. Yes there will be long lines.. but if you wait skip that line and go to another across the park.. you just wasted that much time you could have waited in line.. plus when you go back.. there will still be the same amount of time on the rides!

Also make sure you get Fast Passes!!! Once you get one, you cannot get another one until the end time on the ticket. Get them in the morning too, b/c in the  middle of the afternoon, the fast return time might not be until 8-9 that night or later depending on the hours of the park!

Best attractions to get them the fast passes are:
Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain, Thunder Moutain, Splash Moutain, Peter Pan (if they are avilable.. I'm not sure if they pulle the one from thunder or splash mountain this year)

Holloywood Studios: Toy Story Mania (it always is 70 min. wait.. only takes about 40 minutes though, so its nice to have the fast pass)... Hollywood Tower of Terror, and AeroSmiths Rockin Rollercoaster

Epcot: Soarin, Test Track (there are probably others, but Epcot is not my part.. so I don't know as much about it)

Animal Kingdom: Everest and Kali River Rapids.. if there is one. But I think only Everest does.. but don't hold me to it!

I mean I could keep writing, but if you need hints, just let me know.. so I'm not rambling away on here!

 I love Walt Disney World.  We ate in Epcot at "Under the Sea."  That was great.  One wall of the restaurant is plexiglass (or something like this) and on the other side is their huge fish tank.  The first time we could see the sharks and scuba divers in the water.  It's pretty cool.

Ipods work great, too, for long trips.....put movies or tv shows on them.

 i don't know how many of the "big" rides we'll go on because we'll have a five, three and one year old. i'm thinking we'll spend most of the time at magic kingdom and the waterparks!!! we're staying at the pop centrey resort with mr and mrs potato head and the bowling pin shaped swimming pool... SO VERY VERY EXCITED!!! it's going to be a long 149 days!!!

 yeah that sounds so exciting I have been to disneyland but never disneyworld.

 I'm jealous!!!  I've only been once, back when it first opened.  There was hardly anything there at that time.  It was a big dissappointment after Disneyland.  Times have really changed lol!!!
