I like Kara's titles. Since you are doing a 2 page spread, maybe you could put "Remembering the Past" at the top of the first page and then "Thinking of the Future" at the bottom of the second page or vice versa.

Isnt there a poem about the road between childhood and becoming an adult. About giving up the things of youth and taking on the responsibilities of adulthood? I think that would be perfect for this picture. Especially as a digi. You could Write it in white letters on the picture and make the important words bold and big. It would be so awesome.
