I woke up this morning with my eyes practically sealed shut and my nose hurts (on the inside). I started my nasal spray again but it's gonna take a couple days to get into my system. The cause? SMOKE. It's horrid. And it happened so fast but I heard nothing on the news. Stooopid news. I looked online and there is a new fire about 20-25 miles from us. You can literally TASTE the smoke. Blech.
Wow, that must be some major fire that you can taste the smoke. Feel better soon.
Here I come to save the day! Chas

Gosh you'd hate living on my side. When the everglades are on fire, you can see the ash and stuff in the air!! I hope you feel better soon!!!
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
I have no AC. But I did close all my windows, gave the kids instructions to STAY inside at daycare and I'm not leaving the office till 5. I packed my lunch.
My mom says she heard the air quality is supposed to get to dangerous levels by afternoon but she lives 3 hours away...so I'm thinking hers is from a different fire. I wish I had reliable news here.
I have bad allergies...they're over for the year, but I guess that qualifies me as having "respiratory issues" and the smoke affects me a LOT.

Oh goodness, I'd have to wear a mask to go outside! I've been really lucky this year actually...this is about the first bad smoke we've gotten. Last year was much worse.ICanHasCherryOnTop wrote: Gosh you'd hate living on my side. When the everglades are on fire, you can see the ash and stuff in the air!! I hope you feel better soon!!!
You poor girl! I wonder if a bandana over your mouth and nose will help you at all> Prob not, but hey it is worth a shot to try and filter out the air you're breathing in.

Eeeks! I'm sorry!!!
Oh darlin', I feel for you. Poor baby!! Please take care of yourself and do whatever it takes to breathe safely!
If life gives you lemons, go find an annoying person with paper cuts.
Oh no! Hope you feel better soon and that fire doesn't come any closer!
I hope you get relief from the smoke soon.

Ick! I hope it & you get better soon!
Thanks everyone. My eyes finally feel better but I still can't breathe very well out of my nose. Sigh. This too shall pass.
Yuck , we often get smoke from California fires and I know it can be real bad. Stay indoors as much as you can.
Have a coke and a smile!
