what to do when you have huge smile lines around your eyes!!! My sil took my family's pictures while we were in Texas and my family is beautiful EXCEPT ME ! Everytime I smile the top half of my face looks like a pug or something! And to make it worse one eye closes up more than the other.
Maybe I should get botox or something?? It just drives me crazy!!
So do you have any secrets on what to do with smile lines???? I would love to hear them!
Photoshop! There are days when I wish I could photoshop my whole face!
My niece, who is about 30 now, has been doing botox for a few years...she worked at a dermatologist who does it. She still has a great smile, but no lines...brat!
I have lines all over my face...some of the eye creams really work at puffing the skin back out. BeautiControl has some good products that help with that.
Also, sunscreen, every day...not just when you're going to be outside for an extended period of time...and drink plenty of water! Dehydrated skin shows signs of aging faster than hydrated.
Other than that, just be glad you got those lines from smiling and laughing...it means you've led a happy life! I wouldn't give up my lines at all if I had to give up one bit of the good stuff that got them there!

you are hardest on yourself...you are beautiful, and you should revel in that.
All of us have things we don't like about ourselves...but to some people you rock their world, smile lines and all. They don't want you to change.

I'm only 27 and I have terrible "laugh lines". They're purple, they run from the corners of my mouth to my cheek and they look like I've busted a blood vessel or something. I asked a specialist about it once and that's when I learned that they were "laugh lines" and they came from smiling so I should be proud of them.
Any ideas? Yep....leave them alone!

You shouldn't be worried about smile lines - that just means you smile a lot! It's the mean growly lines people should be more concerned with.
You're beautiful, baby!

What Laura said about the sunscreen, hydration, and moisturizing products specifically for the eyes! I sell Mary Kay, and we have some wonderful eye products, but they will just minimize the lines, not make them disappear. Everyone has those lines...at least yours are smile lines and not frown lines!

I used to be a "celebrity cherry", but now I'm in re-hab...... Holy Carp!
You gals are sweet - thanks for making me feel better about the smile lines. And I'll take Laura's advice with the cream!
I'd say nothing except for eye cream and moisturizer. I use Avon products right now; sometimes I use Lancome.

I know this is gonna sound gross but... I worked with a dermatologist for three years. His recommendation: Preparation H. It works the same way as Retin-A and other skin-tightening formulas but at a fraction of the cost!

Yep! It can't tell if it's on your eye area or your bungholio!! It works the same in either place!
If life gives you lemons, go find an annoying person with paper cuts.
I agree with the majority this time it seems: keep them and be proud of them! They give you character. You have a sense of humor and it shows. Don't let worry over them give you frown lines instead. Don't waste your time worrying about them or trying to get rid of them. Continue to enjoy life instead!
