Sudden decision time.  I wasn't planning to be employed before DS#2 begins full-time kindergarten in the fall, but I got a job offer on Fri.  Here's what happened.  DS#2 and I volunteer at DS#1's school media center one afternoon per week.  Due to a couple of staff changes, the principal offered me the media center para position starting next Mon.  We live 50 min. away from the school.  DS#2 has preschool 3 mornings/week here and I would like him to finish the school year.  I have asked a friend whose DD is in his class to provide childcare those 3 days if I do this.  If she doesn't, another of my friends probably could.  He could come with me the other day each week.  They are being very flexible for me and really seem to want me there.  I am studying to be a media specialist so it would be good experience for me.  But - is this fair to DS#2?  He is very excited when I discuss it with him, but what about the reality of it?  How about the fact that I am taking 3 grad classes in the summer so I won't have much free time then?  Can I handle the 3 weeks of 2 grad classes and working 4 days/week?  Oh, yeah, the paycheck would be nice too.  DH works for the district so we could carpool.  *sigh* What to do, what to do . . .  Sorry for rambling, but thanks for your input!

I'd say give it a try and if it doesn't work out with your schedule,  they can do another "staff change" and get someone else.

Should I do it?
