I read on one of your posts that you like to decorate. Do you mean your house?
Do you wallpaper and paint?
I love to paint and wallpaper. I even painted a mural on the kids walls once but they grew out of it and it's painted over now - sigh!
We have 30 ft high walls in some places so I really need to get some scaffolding in to finish repainting some areas.

Do you make pillows and curtains? I've made some pillow cases and duvet covers but I'm not so good with details so I've never made curtains - also too bulky for my little sewing machine
What would you suggest for a Christmas present for a couple over 80 yrs. old? no budget
If they're active, a cruise. If not, a scrapbook of all their family and some old B&W movies

Do you have a favorite charity?
I LOVE Heifer. They help families improve their lives, income and nutrition by providing them with livestock and teaching them better farming methods and health. When the livestock has offspring they pass it on to another family and gradually improve the lifestyle of the whole village. Rather than just a one time gift it's a lifetime gift.
Check it out here www.heifer.org
We also sponsor a little girl in Guatemala through Compassion which is another great organisation

We also volunteer at our local downtown soup kitchen who feed over 400 people / day. So sad - lots of eldery and kids too.

Do you fish? If so....what's the largest King you have caught?
I fish once a year during dipnetting where you get to stick a giant net on a 20 foot pole into the water and have fish swim in - well it's not that easy but it's fun. One year, I caught a king salmon in my net. The guys were yelling to just pull it in but I couldn't. It took all 3 of us to get it in. It was 45 inches long. When we got back they all took turns getting their picture taken with my fish - a man thing - to me it was just a fish.

Do you have any amazing photo's of the Northern Lights?
Sadly, no. I've seen them several times and they look amazing but my sky photos just don't work out.

Ever hit a moose? Thankfully, no. We see them at the edge of the road every day and they're really likely to rush out onto the road uneexpectedly so I'm really careful. They totally write-off your car.
Vanilla or chocolate? Chocolate
Have you ever been on TV or had your picture in the newspaper? If so, what for?
I've been on the radio and in the local Irish newspapers several times - mainly for school sports, education or Girls Brigade - nothing sensational
