I have a library card back home in Iowa but most libraries won't give us a card when we travel. Although, we do go to the library and read books and play games at the towns we live in while we travel.

Yes, I have cards for 2 libraries one near work & one near home so that I can get to a library any time. I'm a regular at the library getting not just books for the kids & myself but also audio books, music CD's & movies.

Yes, somewhere. I got mine when I moved to Sitka some 20+ years ago. We don't need it to check out books, so I don't even know where it is. . . . and for that matter, I can't remember the last time I went to the library, let alone checked out books.

No - but I did ask my daughter in California if she was planning on getting one and she and her dh just took the twins to the library and the adults got them. The twins have to be able to write their first and last names before they can get one.

We're planning on taking them for a library visit when we fly down there in a few days.

Yes, and I use it - although lately I haven't because I'm working through a stack of books my niece lent me, as well as two boxes of books I own but have never read (I discovered this when I stocked my new bookcases up with my books). But in general I love the library and I love their online reservation system.

No, have not had one since dd graduated. I do swap books with many of my friends and then we end up donating them to libraries when we have read them.

Jan, you will love the Buena Vista Branch Library if that's the one you're dd is close to. My kids love going there. Plus it has a play ground & a bike path for the kids to ride their bikes. The kids area is so cute & it is very clean & well kept.
