I have a pretty good temper. I can usually keep it in check....but I have on occasion thrown things...most recently a timer - good thing it was cheap...broke to bits. I felt better though after the throwing!!
Over a span of 20 years of being married - you betcha I've thrown things. I even threw him out the door once but he wouldn't go any where so I had to drag him back in and make up again. <sigh> That's just part of life with a red head with a fiery temper.
Let me re-emphasize that I did not throw the phone at him.
In fact, I wasn't even mad at him when I threw the phone down- I was mad because the phone rang 100 times while we were eating dinner!!

If life gives you lemons, go find an annoying person with paper cuts.
Not usually... but it has happened. Once when I was 3 months pg and we were setting up the christmas tree I got so mad (can't remember why) that I threw the box of candy canes at the coffee table and broke them all.
Happy Christmas
Don't feel bad, it happens to the best of us! ((hugs))

Oh ya, I will throw a few things now and then. When I was younger it was lots of things. Now that I have to pay for my own stuff, it's mainly pillows. Door slaming is a big one here. DH once took the door off ds room because of that.
yeah, my kids do some door slamming and have come close to getting their doors taking off! I just told Matt about this thread and what I said about the Crown and he said "I don't even want to go there"...pahahahahaha

Oh Heck Yeah! I have done the phone thing once. I also threw a bottle of fingernail polish (it was closed tight) and it bounced off the tv screen and broke a really expensive candle holder. I also threw an entire cup full of pens.....yep....had to clean that up....pissed me off more

sure I have. Nothing big or that would hurt him but sure. And I also slam doors and stuff when I am angry. No ulcers here

Nope, because it pisses me off more to have to clean up the mess. Even in a rage, I am very logical.
Rosa sat so that Martin could walk. Martin walked so that Barack could run. Barack ran so that our children could fly.
Your stories are cracking me up! I never have because the thought of breaking something and having to clean it up is always there in the logical side of my mind!
Not only do I throw things, I slam the doors, cupboards and occassionally wack the BF with my pillow... Seems to make me feel so much better.... But I hate when I break things... I've been good lately... meds are a good thing

Flap- we had put our answering machine away from a previous showing and had forgotten to plug it back in but we have a home rule of not answering the phone during dinner.
It was my MIL letting it ring and ring and ring. Seriously, she let it ring for about 3 minutes straight.
So when DH finally called her back sure enough, she just wanted to say hi. UGH!

My ex threw things at me. I don't recall ever throwing anything at him, though. I vaguely recall throwing my kids' toys (not at them of course) when I got fed up with picking them up but we're probably all guilty of that.
My best stories of temper tantrums are at work, though. I worked at an alcoholism treatment center and they had group sessions at night. They allowed smoking in the building but I had specifically said that smoking was NOT allowed in my office. I came in one morning and found an ashtray on my desk! I hurled it out of my office and down the hall where is hit a wall and shattered into pieces (which I had to clean up). Sadly, there was no one in the office to understand just how mad I was.
The other tantrum was my first day back at work at a construction company after my oldest ds was born. Again, I got there before anyone else and found my desk covered with mail and stuff--a total mess. I went around banging things and throwing them. I ended up slamming my finger in a sliding door on a credenza. I collapsed into tears and had to go home. 19 years later I still have the scar on my finger. Great reminder to keep my emotions in check.

Ummmm.....yup. I have been known to throw some things on occasion. Not really at anyone, tho, just out of frustration.

I used to throw things when I was PMS'ing....but I don't have that anymore so I'm somewhat calmer . I once picked up a kitchen chair and 'slammed' it into the dishwasher (I was mad at DH tho-not the dishwasher)! The bad thing is....I still have a permanent dent in the front of it as a reminder....maybe it's time for a new dishwasher? hehe....
I'm not a thrower. Probably because of the clean up factor. When I get pissy, I tend to want to be by myself and smoke myself into reseaonable again.
I used to be a "celebrity cherry", but now I'm in re-hab...... Holy Carp!
I once threw the cat at my dh. Does that count?
