I'm here....just got out of the shower. I've been at work all day and thought that I would come home and spend a relaxing evening reading, scrapping, just whatever suited my fancy. Well....the ding dong neighbors are shooting off fire works. And they sound like the are coming pretty close to the house....The dogs are terrified! So - I am sitting here working on a mini book while one of the dogs is pacing the floors waiting for the next fire work to explode!
Rebecca
Rebecca, my neighbours are setting off fireworks right now too. Nothing new around here. I am just hoping the kids sleep through it tonight.
Flip cup is when you have a table set up with plastic cups and two teams of even players, the teams lined up on either side of the table. So say, 4 against 4. Each cup is filled maybe 1/3 of the way with beer or other alcoholic beverage of choice and the teams race to be the first to finish drinking and flipping their cups. So the first people on each team square off, shake hands, and they're off: you have to drink your beer, place the now empty cup right side up on the very edge of the table so only a bit is off the edge, anduse your finger to flick the bottom so the cup flips in the air and lands perfectly bottom side up. As soon as your cup lands correctly the next person on your team gets to drink their beer and flip their cup... and so on until the last person on one of the teams ends it and you win. It usually gets harder the more you play because you keep drinking and cups are flying. Sometimes though, the buzz can get you in a groove like I was the other night. I was flipping my cup perfectly on the very first flick nearly every time! Here is a very old picture of some of us at a toga party celbrating a flip cup victory:
Jess, that sounds like fun! Seems like you have a lot of interesting, great friends! Love the togas!
Seriously gals, I can do a fancy dinner party but I can ALSO totally throw down a killer fun theme party ANY day. We need an ACOT mixer or somethin'...
I'm here. Just hanging out and trying to get sleepy so I can go to bed.
I've been here on and off. Been working on cards and altered blocks. Want them all done by tomorrow night and got the cards done.
Jess- I didn't recognize you in your new avatar. LOL Hmmm I need to change mine. *sigh*
I am tired. Too tired to scrap or read. I should watch a movie... but nothing sounds good right now.

I know Diana... it was SO hard to delete that avatar! It made me sad. Back to my plain old self.

Plain old self??? I think not...we need to make you a party girl avatar after the explanation and the toga photos!
Hi girls!

Hi girls!
I think I've still got my toga from college in a drawer somewhere
I'm not too sure if it will still fit!!
I'm not too sure if it will still fit!!
Ann, if not, you could always just get a new sheet and say it's the old one
But the old toga has such authenticity with the faded beer and trash can punch stains!!!
HA! Oh the tales I could tell... that toga party was nothing. You should have seen (ok, maybe you shouldn't have seen) my Pimps and Hos birthday party. And somewhere out there in my drawers is a commemorative t-shirt from a party we dubbed "The Wild Rumpus" complete with attendees names on the back.Plain old self??? I think not...we need to make you a party girl avatar after the explanation and the toga photos!
sorry, fell asleep on ya'll
Matt was resetting my finger not very gently and when i was wincing fron the pain, he got out my bottle of tequila, so I downde a couple shots with some Aleve. That dulled the pain. Jen was laughing so hard and taking pictures of the whole thing so I kicked the out. They went fishing and I went to bed.
