No problem my love, all is well now. I go night night peacefully now.
I know, she's in rare form with two nice posts, woo hoo. Yeppers, I have a few on her.
Awwww darn! I just started a pizza in the oven for some sit-down entertainment at the 'puter! And now this thread's gotten cold... Pah!
I saw all these responses, so as I was opening this thread I thought, "oh oh, maybe a walmart fan is upset". Whew, that is not the case at all though, is it?I have no idea what you guys are talking about, did something happen to Leeanna's Bum-Bum at a Walmart? j/k!!Sounds like many Walmarts are dirty and unorganized. I don't blame people for not shopping there!
We do not have a Target here, we do have s Super Walmart though....I HATE it. I avoid it like the plague. Just sayin'
let me just tell you that I HATE to go into a store where they make you feel like you are there to steal something. That is how I feel when I go to Wal Mart. One time, my mother and I went to Wal-Mart to buy some new car seats for my twins. They were big and took up all the room in the cart and we did not have any room for our groceries. On my way out, the little door greeter person stopped me and wanted to see my receipt for them. Keep in mind I came FROM the registers. I kindly explained to her that I had just purchased these and my mother had the receipt. Instead of leaving it at that, she proceeded to tell me that I could not leave the store without my receipt. I proceeded to tell her that I was walking out of the store with the carseats we had just PURCHASED and she was going to watch me. I took them to the car and then came back into the store. I went to the customer sevice and demanded to see the manager. I went off on the manager and told her what I thought about the store. She apparently thought I was threatening, so she called security. The security lady came over and talked to me and I yelled at her too. Not once during this time did they go over and ask the cashier if I just came through the line and purchased the two carseats. I had them page my mom. When she go to the front, I showed the manager and security person the receipt and asked her if she felt like an idiot. I then told my mom--really loud--to pay for what the twins were eating and leave her basket there because we were not shopping there anymore and that we were going to go somewhere else. I have not been back to a WalMart store since then and that hs been over a year ago. I shop at Target all the time. I don't have a problem with their prices and seem to be able to get everything I need there that I could get at WalMart. Since I live in Arkansas, it seems as if WalMart is trying to take over everything here. CAN'T STAND WALMART AT ALL-THEY ARE NOT FOR THE LITTLE PERSON, TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES LIKE CRAP, AND THEIR STUFF IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN TARGET--NOT JUST IN PRICES BUT QUALITY!!!!!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Target. Not Wal-Mart as much. I just like their products better. I have a question though, are there no Targets in Canada? I live not to far away from the border and we get a ton of buses from Canada. Last weekend I heard that our Target was going to be getting 67 BUSES of shoppers from Canada. I guess there aren't any Targets in New York as well! Actually it is because we don't have sales tax on clothing here in PA and NY does. But none the less our Target, Kohls, and Mall are teeming with Canadians!
I like them both, depends on what I'm looking for...Target is more xpensive, but you do get what you pay for...I usualy buy play cothes for the kids at Wal-Mart {since they get them dirty and go through thtme so fast} and the durable cute outfits at Target...also for me I LOVE my oca Wal-Marts photo quality so I always get my prints from there,,,plus for me it's a difference of 5 mins down the road or 40 minutes down the road...so Wal-Mart usuay wins unless I am going out of town for more than 1 reason...our local Wal-Mart is very clean and everyone I've dealt with has aways been helpful and nice...just my personal experience...

Target is ok. I think there are a lot of Super-Targets (with groceries) around the US that compete with WalMart, but here in Detroit I don't know of any. We have WalMart, Super KMart and MEIJER! I will not set foot in either WalMart or KMart, given the choice. Meijer is nice, clean and cheap. We have Target, but I really only go there to buy clothes and shoes for DD. Meijer carries most of the same stuff and more, plus groceries.
The only thing we have is Wal-Mart...and it's not even a Super WM. It only has two aisles of groceries. I like the fact that things are cheaper....but the service is terrible and the store is dirty.Yes, Target's prices are higher on some things, but the shopping experience is much more pleasant. And I LOVE the kid's clothes on the clearance rack....those are cheaper than WM...lol! To me, Target is like walking through a mall. I could stay in one for HOURS! LOL!
Uh-oh!!Leave it to a Pea to stir things up. I L-O-V-E love Target!!! The quality of the merchandise is much better, which is why I don't mind paying more. I shop at Wal-Mart a lot, but if I'm looking for something nice, like decor I head over to Target.
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
No, we don't have Targets up in Canada. I am not sure if our Zellers is like your Target......Zellers is good, but not overly cheaper on things. The quality is so much better than WM.I have heard good things about Target and usually hit one when I go south of the border. And I am sure there are bus loads of Canadian shopping now with our dollar being worth more than the US.
I agree that Walmarts are filthy typically. We had a new one open up down the road just last year and after only a month it was icky! But Wally World does have better prices and the match competitors pricing - so if you are a poor student like my us you sometimes bite the bullet. Another but, there is a great deal of bad publicity for Walmart enough to make me not want to shop there on principle.
I love Target! Both are here. The Targets here are cleaner, more spacious, and there's always an employee available who canl help. Customer service is quick. Prices can be more expensive, but I always come prepared with coupons. Also, items are of more quality, like their clothes. The only time I have to go to Walmart is if Target or no one else has an item.
