On another post I told you that my baby wanted to join the military. Well we got word that he will leave for basic training  feb 16 today on my husbands 40th birthday. My son had a chose on that date or april. That is so close. Keep your fingers and toes crossed he makes it thru the 13 weeks of hell.  Cant believe that the day is coming hes not even 18 yet well March 8 he will be.I aint converting his room yet................Have a great dayPookeybear aka Dawn

Crossing fingers for him but I don't think he'll need it.  My brother who just turned 18 in September did Basic last summer and he made it through with flying colors. I applaud young people who know what they want - I wish I had when I was that age.

Congrats to your son!  We've been military over ten years and love it...if it's 13 weeks, I'm thinking it's maybe Marine Corps boot camp?
