Cherry Jubilee
Our sweet DGS, Brenden, sent me this picture earlier today. It's a commemorative brick with my father, his GGF's, name on it. The brick is located in front of the fountain in Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Georgia across from their hotel. My dad's brother lives in Atlanta and purchased this brick back in 1997 after the Olympics in 1996. My dad passed away in 1995 and never had the opportunity to meet Brenden. I know that he would be extremely proud of him this week as he represents the state of Maryland competing in the Skills USA's National Leadership & Skills Conference and Competition. DH and I visited this park back in 1998 when he was their on business. It made me smile to know that Brenden and his mom made sure they located and sent me this picture.
