I have a Fugifilm Finepix that I got about 5 years ago. It's great for a point and shoot but I want to learn how to use manual settings and upgrade sometime.

I have a Sony Alpha 100 DSLR... I think I need to upgrade to something FASTER! Oh and do I ever feel like the odd woman out having the only Sony! Hey I had Minolta lenses already, what's a girl to do? My camera is more suitable for portraits rather than action.

I jsut got the new rebel t2i love it I have rebel cameras for years. One caveat with the Rebel it really isn't the camera that predetermines the quality of the photos but the lens you put on it. The top end lenses 1000.00 plus take incredible photos with the rebel.

SusanZenn wrote:I have a Canon DSLR - a Rebel Eos T1i - and I am in love with it. I don't really do much playing around with it...just usually use automatic, but the quality of the prints I get amazes me. I was confident when I bought it that it would be great because I had a Canon before this....PowerShot S3...and I loved that one but wanted the power and ability to change lenses of a DSLR. I work in the Arts & Humanities office at a college here in NJ and one of our professors is a professional photographer who has many accolades and awards, includung a Guggenheim Enbdowment which is HUGE, so when I was shopping I asked his advise. I told him my budget and he suggested this camera. So coming from an award-winning photographer, I have no regrets about my choice! Plus I got VERY lucky in that the day I was looking at the camera on Amazon they came out with a deal...I got my camera, a 55-250mm lens and a Canon Pixma Pro Wide Format Printer for about $900 total after rebate. It basically equated to getting a $500 printer for CLOSE TO FREE!

Prior to my Canon's I had Olympus cameras and was generally happy with them, however they were just P&S cameras with very small zooms.

This is the exact camera I got and I am SO loving it!!! I have taken so many pictures already and now just need to get them printed out. This camera is amazing:) I am still learning lots about the settings on it and there is much to learn. How long have you had yours? I got a great deal on mine too-Costco and came with the camera bag, SD card, an extra lens and a few other things for 849.00
Hey I may be looking in your direction for answers if I get stuck:) That's pretty sweet we have the same camera.

JDs Mom wrote:Canon Rebel EOS T1i. LOVE IT!! Only had point-and-shoot digitals before. Easy to use, not bad to learn how, awesome pictures. Prints are great too. As soon as I can, I'm going to get a longer-range lens--definitely before re-enactment season starts!!

Same camera:) I LOVE it!! I can only imagine the quality of prints it gets when even the picture on the LCD screen is amazing!! It is so clear and sharp looking.

I have a Cannon Power shot 12.3 mega pixels, I loved it before I dropped it. It still works, still produces great quality. However since the repairs were done (under warrinty of course) sometimes my shutters stick in the closed postiion. Very Flustrating!!!!! I would still recomend Cannon, just be sure not to drop it.

I have a Canon AE-1 too!! That thing takes the best pics!

I shoot now with a Cannon DSLR Rebel. Noooot really that happy with it, but don't have the $'s to plop down for a new camera.
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.

I have a canon power shot 1100 and an older kodak dx7630
The canon is pretty good most of the time.
Neither is great in low light or no-flash conditions
Neither is great for high action shots at a distance -- ie soccer

I have a canon 20d. it is a professional level camera. the only reason i have this particular one is because my mom upgraded to the 50d. but i couldn't be happier with all my pictures. the quality of canon is amazing.
