Summer sure is busy, isn't it? I hate to admit it, but I'm looking forward to the kids going back to school in a couple of weeks and I get some time to myself!sherry wrote:Seems like I have had company ALL summer, the last is leaving tomorrow. Then I truly plan to get back to card making & scrapbooking.

Please....my first car was an AMC Pacer....a fishbowl on wheels. It was a deep burgundy, but since it was a Pacer, I called it Polly the Purple Pacer. The engine went out once...my brother came to rescue me. The wire that was working its way thru the cover of the front seat finally broke thru and poked him in the butt...actually drew blood!(not a lot, but enough that he harassed me for ages). But that car got me thru my senior year of high school and 3 years of nursing school with little more than a set of tires, one round of brake pads, and a new battery. But the rack and pinion joint was going out when i finally got rid of it...I used to plan my route to work based on number of turns because it got so hard to turn the wheel!-Tracy- wrote:
So you must have a funny car story too then?

I think that's a great idea. I could talk about when my van door started working again after a year of manually opening a door that was supposed to me motorized...when turns out the only problem was a bad fuse! lol But I like the first car thought......-Tracy- wrote:Ayla wrote:Please....my first car was an AMC Pacer....a fishbowl on wheels. LOL!! I had an AMC Concorde for about a month. Drove it a total of 2 times. The rest of that time it was in the shop! Then it got junked.
My 1st car was a Dodge Dart Swinger. It stalled everytime you turned left. LOL!
Hmmm...maybe we should do a Car Talk prompt?
