My girls have their first ballet performance today. Cute little outfits and all. Just a small informal thing cuz their classes are through the parks & rec dept. Amber is super excited and has been dancing around the house practicing for a week. Chloe, however, announced at dinner last night that she doesn't want to dance. She doesn't even want to watch sister dance, and she wants to stay home while we go. LOL. 3 year olds!! Man.
**UPDATED**
So, Chloe, who announced no dancing last night, had a BLAST! She got up there, performed with her class and was so stinkin' cute! Everyone in the audience was laughing so hard for their performance because ther were six 3 yr olds dancing! She still refused to wear the tutu or hairbow like the rest of the girls, but hey, she danced!
And Amber, my oldest, was wonderful! She remember her steps, smiled the entire time and enjoyed herself so much. She wasn't even nervous about dancing in front of that many people. I'm so proud of both my girls, and I'll be adding photos later tonight when I get a chance.
Here's the photos:
Beautiful ballerinas presented with roses after.
Mine's the last one on the right (the one without the tutu or hairbow!)
Amber dancing like a pro! She loved every minute of it!

Good luck to both your girls. Be sure and take lots of pictures. Can't wait to see!
I know exactly how she feels. You should see the studio pic of me the last year I danced. One of these days, maybe I'll create a layout showing how I did not want to be in that outfit. You can just see it in my eyes.
All three of us took lessons for about 5 years, but by the end I knew that I was not getting it, and got my parents to let me quit. My youngest sister on the other hand went all the way! She now is a professional choreographer for a number of studios.
Now, if I'm in a position to be in town when my sister's dances are being performed, I won't miss them. I'm so proud of her. Give your older dd time, she'll come around.

They are just too adorable! Thank you for sharing the pix!
I always wished I had a little girl to dress up like that; maybe my rough and tumble boy will give me a granddaughter one day (not soon though, I want him to finish college first!).
