Okay so we were having MAJOR problems with internet exploer freezing up on us, so i downloaded firefox and now using it. anyone use it? what do you think of it? so good so far. have you had any problems with viruses or other bugs? thanks!!!!

We have been using Firefox for a few years already and have had no problems at all with it.

Firefox is on ofthe safest browsers to use. You canstill get a virus, but its not nearly as easy. May I also recommend AVG Security instead of Norton or McAfee. You can get a free trial version at download.com. It is the best and it doesn't use as many resources as the others.

I was just having terrible problems with viruses and freezing up and porn sites popping up, etc. I was using AVG. We ended up having to reformat the hard drive and reloading everything, which was not fun. We now have McAfee and I haven't had any trouble so far and it's been three or four weeks. These new viruses are getting harder and harder to prevent and get rid of.

I've used firefox for ages and not had problems. I switched because I was having freezing and page loading problems with IE and as that was years ago, I can't believe they wouldn't have sorted some of that stuff out by now. Really, who cares though when you cand download ff for free

About a month ago, I got a nasty virus on my pc and had to take it in to a repair place recommended to me by my work IT department to have it cleaned and they installed firefox and AVG on my pc to use. I've had FF for quite a few years now and love it. I have a government security system but even before then we didn't have a problem with viruses because they're just not that plentiful on FF as they are on IE.
When FF starts getting to busy I'll switch to something else, I'm already looking at others, but for now it's terrific!

Ok now there you go !!! After having put up with the freezing thing, I don't even remember why I ended up with Firefox, but I love it!! I use it with my mac and I love it. I had a version about 5 months ago that was wierd, but they update often, so everything is great now!

I switched to Firefox a few months back and love it so far! No problems at all! I use Norton for my AV protection and haven`t had any virus issues.
