But, there's a famous family story of my grandmother throwing a shoe at my uncle at the dinner table. He ducked, the shoe crashed into the china cabinet, and he got beat anyway. Only come to find out, once we're all responsible adults, that it wasn't a shoe - it was a knife!

Honestly, I used to, but then I got into therapy. I've found healthier (and MUCH more effective) ways of dealing with my anger. It's sometimes hard for me to keep my temper under control, but I have to tell myself that getting all nutty only makes the other person think you're crazy, and they don't want to listen.
You just have to remember that throwing things (abd yelling, in my case!) is not an effective way of getting what you want. If you think of it that way, it's easier to change.

Not really...my thing is I hold it all in, until I explode like Mount Vesuvius. I don't hold it in with friends and stuff, but I tend to hold it in wiht Geo and Cole...until it really is not pretty. Trying to vent more frequently and hold off on the explosions.

yup, Ive been know to throw dinner at the wall when no one wants to eat and have been bugging me for an hr that they are hungry. Now let me say its in my genes my moms a "food thrower " Come to think of it I havent done that in a long time. The last time I did it I took a nice walk outside to calm myself down. Come to find out that Dh took the video camera and taped the aftermath. Its funny now,not so funny then

I used to be TERRIBLE about throwing things. In my defense, I was in a difficult marriage and didn't have T at the time. I don't even get angry like I used to....I've learned to just walk away and relax until the mood passes.
But you don't want to hear about that....so should I tell you about the time I dumped a full plate of fried porkchops in the bathtub....on top of my not-so DH? It resulted in him hurling a solid oak coffee table at me....

I have thrown things before, not in awhile. I remember I threw my cell phone once and it broke, wasn't that smart of me.

I threw a car seat at dh once...it didn't hit him but that's only because I have terrible aim (Don't worry...Alex wasn't in it!)

Dh and i where playing rook with his parentsthe night before thanks giving ( i am a very competiive person) I was peeling eggs and ended up fireing about 3 hard boiled ones at dh because he made a bad play must have had some pms now it's a story that haunts me everytime we have deviled eggs. Oh and i miss the 1st time he taunted me so i threw the 2nd he taunted me agian but the 3rd hit square in the gut i guess by then i wasn't trying to hurt him just prove that i could do it. lol the kids will tell dh to watch out moms making breakfest AND SHE HAS EGGS! don't think i'll ever live it down.
