Pam I LOVE that picture!!!! I haven't decided which one is my fav yet! I think this one, but I need to photoshop the lighting a little bit...the flash was too bright....

WOW! Great photos everyone! I only took about10 and they all turned out pretty bad! I need to get a better tripod for the fireworks photos!

Most of my pics are way to bright (like the one of Brynlee). Any pointers on how to correct that?

Lisa if you have Photoshop or Elements under filters, adjustments choose LEVELS. You then take the dropper and click on the darkest spot on the photo, and the white dropper and click on brightest part of the photo. (I hardly ever use the grey one) This usually will correct your photo.

I took lots of pics at a parade that Matt's fire department had few of their trucks in, and Matt was driving one of the trucks. He is still "in training" as a driver (for the trucks) so the dep chief was in the truck with him, but I was still very proud. And, we just bought a new truck after waiting years and fighting with the state over whether we really needed it. AND, we won FIRST PLACE in the parade! I have not downloaded the pics because I rushed home from the parade, made pasta salad, ran to the drug, liquor and grocery stores, back home, and finishd cooking. I had 10 minutes to sit before our company arrived! After dinner and dessert we went to the fireworks where we had to stay in the car because it rained and they were crummy, so I did not get firework pics,then the night ended with me breakng my right pinky finger. Matt wanted to take me to the ER but I wouldn't let him cause I let him have a beer when we got home so there was no way he was driving after drinking, and it was almost midnight, I was not sitting there all night. Plus my copay is $75 now. So, he straightened my finger, taped it to the one next to it whille I screamed, cursed and swallowed 4 Aleve then went to bed. Today I went back to the drug store and got a splint for it but sissy that I am I don't want to wrap it. I want to scream every time i have to move the hand at all, it really hurts still.

Ann...so sorry to hear about your finger...OUCH.....but I do hope to get to see your awesome parade pics! we skipped the parade because I was cleaning ALL morning and it was kinda chilly here so I didn't want to take the chance of the kids getting sick in the weather....

We didn't do anything yesterday....so no pics. How sad is that?!? Our town has a poor display of fireworks. Usually we try to go out of town for the 4th, but G had to work last night. T and I just watched movies.

Some Fireworks

This last one is my favorite. They are the best ones I've gotten to date. Working on figuring out the best way to take firework pics. This last night seemed to work good.
