Fearless Fourteen

Stephanie Plum is up to her old mishaps as a bounty hunter again. Morelli and Ranger are still hot! Lula is still a hoot. Now Steph has to deal with a 14 year old kid whose mother can't make bail after blowing off her hearing for her robbery conviction (she stole a bottle of gin).

I've only just begun the book but I've had lots of good guffaws already.

Janet Evanovich is a still a fave.

Hey do you subscribe to the free Plum Newsletter from JE? It's really neat. She has 2 signings here locally & a list of all other places she'll be at. I bet she's a hoot most of the time.

I didn't realize there was another Stephanie Plum book out - I'm going to need to get my hands on that one!

Yep, I do subscribe to the newsletter. I was so wishing I was closer to her big signing. I really wanted one of those Morelli air fresheners! :winkb:

i bought this book the day it came out.  i'm a janet e junkie.  it took me just 2 evenings to read it.  quick read, fun, as stephanie plum is always.  i loved it.  i just wish it didn't go so fast so it won't be so long of a wait til the next release.

I bought it the day it came out, too.  It was just as good as any of the Stephanie Plum novels!

I bought Fearless the day it came out! I LOVE JE books but I didn't think this one was as good as the others. It also seemed very short. It seemed like she just zipped this one out without much thought.  And it definitely didn't have enough Stephanie vs. Ranger segments.  :winkb:   Won't stop me from buying the next one but I hope the next one has more "Umph!"

I'm thinking about starting her series.  But it'll have to wait a bit.  I have 10 unread books on my night stand and a hubby asking if I really need to go to Barnes and Noble again:waiting:

I read #3 and #4 on the way to Wyoming.

I read the funny parts aloud to Bud (when I can laugh through them!)

I absolutely love her!  I bought a t-shirt from her website once but it ran a little small so ended up giving it away.  I ahve been trying not to buy this one because I usually read it in 1 or 2 nights and then sell it on eb.....I have been on the list at the library before it even came out and still haven't read it!

I am dying but with my dh maybe losing his job just can't justify the $15 or so..............

I did almost cave today and buy it from my book club but thank goodness for the shipping charge because it made me change my mind!

I wish she would/could write them closer together.

I'll be reading Fearless 14 next. Reading The Carrotcake Murder, by Joanne Fluke.
W/ JE, how are her unnumbered books? Not sure if I want to try them.

Oh, the library is the way to go.

Thank you so much!  We probably won't know for about 60 more days!  the waiting is killing me - but thank you.

PS:  still haven't gotten that darn call from the library!

I finally got it - but the library never called!  I was just looking on-line for the new Macomber and checked on 14 just in case and it said it was on the display shelf!  I called immediately - could not even believe it.

Now sadly I agree with the person who said it wasn't as good as the others.  To be honest, it took me about 4 x as long to read it as it normally does.  I could have raised my anticipation level too high for it though.

I will still get the next one -

Janet E lives here in town (My PO Box is in the same building as hers)

Some group invited her to come talk and she sent them a bill for $500!  They didn't know there'd be a charge, much less one that big.

I don't know, that just seems wrong.
