Re: Prayer's Please

Praying for your guy! And YOU! I know it's stressful when our kids have surgery, been there done that! One thing I did with my little one is, we love Build a Bear, so I let him get whatever stuffed animal he wanted then we bought the doctor outfit and had all his doctors, nurses and support people s...

Re: Bye bye Uterus

Is the robotic procedure available where you are having the surgery?  My friend just went through this and I will be on 2/13.  Basically the robotic arm makes it more possible to get into "bad" spots.  I have dysplasia also AND adhesions from 3 c-sections, and am a candidate for this surg...

Re: Jenny Craig and other meal delivery programs

I've lost 67 lbs so far with WW.  It's awesome!  I started by totally dejunkifying my house.  No chips, ice cream, etc to be a temptation on a regular basis.  We keep lots of fruit and healthy snacks around.  Once you learn the points, it's not that big of a deal.  I'm a planner, so I sit down and ...

Re: Preschool class treats or favors

What I've done for my kid's class is called Snowman soup (see, no religious connection!).  Before it was uncool to bring anything homemade, I mixed up some of the bulk hot cocoa, put it in a bag, included a small baggie of marshmallows (separate in case anyone doesn't like them-like me), and tied o...

Re: What do you do if asked to change a Christmas Tradition?

Some other's have said continue to buy for your kids/in-laws and let THEM buy for their kids (thus continuing the tradition).  I know it can get expensive, but traditions are very important.  I know I always looked forward to the things like this we used to get in our stockings and the adults are l...

Re: If you have all boys or all girls...

We have all boys and it's a blast!  There's never a dull moment in our home!   That's kind of the way I put it to everyone who is retarded enough to "sympathize" with me that I didn't have any girls.  It drives me crazy too!  My own mother was "disappointed" when we didn't have ...

Re: Artscow.com ... have you ever used or even heard of it?

I signed up a while back when they were offering a TON of free stuff and immediately ordered a couple of smaller items just to see what the quality was.  IMO, don't bother!  Maybe their prints are good, but the key ring thing I ordered was very cheap and the little watch I got promptly quit working...

Re: Making a Scarecrow?

use an old pair of panty hose for the legs and torso.  Stuff them with straw then put the clothes on.  Tuck the shirt in the pants and tie with baling twine.  Button the shirt (obviously) and tie the arms off with twine too.  Can't remember what we used for the face.......

Re: Make-up allergy??

not to discourage you or anything, but I started a similar allergy several years ago.  I was able to switch kinds, but had to eventually stop wearing eye makeup all together because I was developing new allergies at an alarming pace.  Mine must have been to some key ingredient that most everything ...

Re: Uppercase Living?

My friend is a consultant.  LOVE them!  You get lots of free stuff when you have a party too!  I love that you can put them on so many things (reg wall, wall paper, glass, tile, etc.).  My friend has made lots of really cool crafts (old windows, coaster sets, huge tiles, glass blocks), everything i...
