Re: Scrap a Day, July 20th

I've been working on finishing up some pages I started (my to-finish page is huge!), and I posted today about getting out of a scrapbooking rut and making scraplifting your own:

Re: Letter stickers galore

You could write your title like it's really long journalling.. or I guess, write a very short piece of journalling as your title. Like these pages I did: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-q0-YUAEXPVw/Uc4AGAYcrlI/AAAAAAAALVI/D4sH9XZ8mEg/s640/likethesoundofjoy_00.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XGG481wS4gU/UQv7...

Re: Washi Manufacturer Question

Glitz Design, Bella Blvd, and K&Co/Smash, and Martha Stewart are not like real washi tapes -- they are paper tapes, like the tapes from  Heidi Swapp and 7gyspies that were popular around 2006-2008 or so. These brands are not translucent like real washi tape is, they are thicker, have a shiny fin...

Re: Anybody happen to notice

I don't think people really do want those jobs or want to pay more money for our supplies.... because I know around here manufacturing jobs can't be filled. Same thing with fruit picking or working in a greenhouse -- people from here don't want those jobs, so they hire migrant workers. BTW, Heidi Sw...

Re: Help with a Layout

Love the idea of sticking with greens and blues! If you are going to include it with other layouts from the same night/Christmas, you could probably add in some red, silver, or gold. Stars and trees would probably be great for embellishments, too.

Re: I had to look twice.

My kids used to have a model of Fat Albert, the Blue Angels support plane.  The box it came in had giant lettering all squished together like this:  FATALBERT and I thought is said FATAL BERT.  I felt so dumb when I found out differently. Hilarious!!! Too funny about the bummer-summer. It does look...

Re: Unexpected Surprises

Wow, you really put that paper to good use! I am impressed!

I am pretty sure the only time I've ever used a whole sheet of patterned paper is when I've used the whole piece as a layout background. :)

Re: never thought.....

That is a big step! I think if you aren't taking the boxes out and opening them, then moving the cards to a more accessible storage solution was a very smart move!

Re: do you..........

I break it all up! I keep like embellishments with like -- die cuts together, brads together, enamel dots together, etc. And then I sort almost all of my paper by company. I don't sort by individual collection. I found it much easier to store everything this way (separated) as it was more space effi...
