 I actually "branched out"  pardon the pun and bought an artificial and it is strictly red, white and blue patriotic stuff...I love LOTS and LOtS of lights!  The tree isn't packed but balanced...then we have a HUGE cut tree that has the "family" ornaments, the stars and snowflake...

I have no idea what kind it is that dh gets at the Boy Scout tree lot but it is one of the biggest that they have (we have cathedral ceilings in th eliving room and he MUST fill the space)  But I hate to wait to decorate so this year I bought an artificial pre-lit tree for the family room downstairs...

 I'm an extended wear contact lens wearer and have been for years...I did take a break from contacts about a year ago but there in nothing as convenient as waking up and being able to see...I would LOVE lasik!!!

 yep...one for everyone of the family and one for each of the dogs too...We don't have a "mantle" on the fireplace so I hang them on a basket hanging rack thing and put that in front of the fireplace :winkb:

 Concentrate on the grandbabies...let those big "kids" know what you are doing (so they aren't surprised on Christmas eve) and explain the change in tradition...
