The original color looks like its the same as my living room now.

I had noticed that too with some of my old cards.  They were just coming apart.  the adhesive no longer sticky.

I also thought about going back to the 8.5 x 11 size for the same reasons as you.....storage.
It is hard finding a bookshelf that will hold them all.

What I did was look at the dies that I liked the most....for me that was the Tim Holtz line...and I purchased the machine that I could use those dies with.  Since I didn't want to spend $200 for the Tim Holtz machine, I opted for the Big Shot, which works with his line of dies as well as the embossi...

I clean out the leftovers once a week before I get groceries.
A deep cleaning gets done a few times a year.

We cook alot on the grill this time of year.
My boys go crazy for prok ribs.  We do alot of sandwiches too.  Tonight was chicken salad.

I will also cook alot in the crock pot. 

I have an Erin Condren Planner too. Love mine.

Its a list of exercises that I do in intervals.  20 seconds of high intensity exercise and 10 second rest.
It is normally around 4 minutes long, but I try to get in atleast 10 minutes.
